Danlambao’s collaborator – Ms. Nguyễn Phương Uyên, a former prisoner of conscience, aged 22, was suddenly detained by the police while she was sitting in a coffee shop with her friends in Saigon.
The incident happened at 11:00 am, 13th December, 2015, at Chiêu coffee shop on Nguyễn văn Nguyễn Street, District 1, Saigon.
According to blogger Nguyễn Hoàng Vi, Ms.Nguyễn Phương Uyên was pushed onto a police vehicle and taken into custody at Cầu Kho Ward police station, District 1.
Meanwhile, the coffee shop owner, Ms. Nguyễn Chiêu Anh, was also “invited” to Dakao ward police station to, as often put by the police, “work”.
Immediately after the arrest, any contact with Ms. Phương Uyên became impossible.

Arrested owing to a book that “challenges the regime” ?
A witness at the scene claims that plain-clothes policemen have arrived and surrounded Chiêu coffee shop.
The police confiscated Ms. Nguyễn Phương Uyên’s rucksack, which contained a laptop and a book entitled “Thủy’s Dreams”.
Written by Lê Việt Kỳ Nhi and published in September, 2015, the book is about aspirations to change the country.
The publication, whose preface was written by Ms.Phương Uyên, is seen as “a challenge to the communist regime”.
