CTV Danlambao * Translated by Như Ngọc - The communist authorities order police to kidnap several youths in Hanoi in the morning of September 23, 2015.

According to a post on Ly Quang Son’s Facebook page, the first victim of this crackdown is Le Thi Yen, a newsreader of the online Conscience TV.

At noon the same day, police stopped and abducted Le Thu Ha, a member of the Brotherhood for Democracy, and Tran Duc Thinh when they were going to a doctor’s office.

Police also arrested Pham Dac Dat, Nguyen Manh Cuong and Nguyen Vu Binh.

On the evening, many activists have gathered at Hai Ba Trung police station at 94 To Hien Thanh Street to demand the release of the detainees.

Photos posted on Thao Teresa’s Facebook page show about 20 people holding banners that read "Opposing the illegal arrests".

Most likely, the crackdown relates to the Conscience TV originated by Le Thi Yen. Three sessions of this online video program have been posted on YouTube reporting human rights situation in Vietnam.

Update: Police attack protesters, who demand the release of detainees

At 9 p.m. about 30 activists gather at the police station of Hai Ba Trung District chanting "Release detainees".

A video clip posted on Facebook shows police brutally attack protesters. Blogger Doan Trang is beaten badly that her mouth bleeds.

Until this moment, there is no information about those arrested.
