Hanoi: Unexpected outbreak of protests against Xi Jinping

CTV Danlambao - A demonstration against Xi Jinping has suddenly erupted in Hanoi at 9 a.m. on November 03, 2015. Protesters take banners to the streets, marching through the sidewalks to oppose the communist regime on bowing head to welcome the nation’s enemy from the North.

Starting at the area of the Opera House, the activists march along with land grab victims, chanting the slogans such as “Down with China's invasion, Down with Xi Jinping, Paracel - Vietnam, Spratlys – Vietnam”.

Although this spontaneous rally draws only a few dozen of people, it has ignited the fire of protest against Xi Jinping in Hanoi this morning.

Video clips and pictures of the protest have been posted on social networking sites, showing protesters walk, hold banners and raise their voice to denounce the Vietnamese Communist Party from letting the country systematically fall into the hands of the Chinese Communists. "For a Vietnam without China’s influence, opposing dependence on Red China, opposing Xi Jinping’s presence in Vietnam," said the protesters.

A post on Facebook page of Dung Mai says that the protesters are blocked from entering the area of Lenin’s Garden, where the Chinese embassy is located, by a strong police force.

One can say that the rally this morning is an absolute will of the Vietnamese people in rejecting the Vietnamese Communist Party’s plan of inviting an enemy to the home that they control at gunpoint.

As expected, Xi will arrive at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi at 12 noon on November 5, 2015 for a two-day trip.

Twenty one civil society organizations have issued a statement calling for mass protests at 9 a.m. on November 5, 2015 at the Chinese embassy in Hanoi, 46 Hoang Dieu Street, Ba Dinh District, and the Chinese consulate in Saigon, 175, Hai Ba Trung Street, District 3, to against Xi’s upcoming trip to Vietnam.

“All our Vietnamese Citizens, it’s time to speak up. Do not back down or give in to any plots and acts that violate our Sacred National Sovereignty, which has been passed down for thousands of years,” said the statement.
