Danlambao - This afternoon, July 24, 2013, Mrs. Duong Thi Tan and her son Nguyen Tri Dung continued to go to the headquarters of the People's Procuracy of Nghe An Province to ask questions and request an urgent resolution regarding the complaint of blogger Dieu Cay. However, when they arrived at the headquarters around 3:00 p.m. all officials had already left the office during office hours.
As of today, July 24, 2013, blogger Dieu Cay - Nguyen Van Hai, has been on hunger strike for 32 consecutive days in No. 6 Prison in Thanh Chuong, Nghe An. At press time, the blogger is reaching the 33rd day of his hunger strike. The government still conceals all information regarding the health status of Dieu Cay, and his fate is still unknown. Reportedly, local residents saw an ambulance headed to the prison yesterday afternoon.
It has been raining heavily in Nghe An for several days. Mrs. Duong Thi Tan has been sick due to harsh weather and a strenuous week of travelling and seeking justice for blogger Dieu Cay. In addition, she has suffered pains from the wounds on her legs, which were inflicted by previous police tortures. Meanwhile, her son Nguyen Tri Dung is very worried about the life of his father.
Despite being sick, Mrs. Tan and her son travelled under heavy rainfall to the People's Procuracy of Nghe An Province to ask for justice. However, they could not see any official in the office. It seems the officials deliberately to leave the office very early to avoid answering questions from the blogger’s family.
Mrs. Tan walked from the first floor to the third floor in the building but did not see anyone. All office doors were locked although it is not a holiday today, and the time was still in office hours.
The dodging action of officials at the People's Procuracy of Nghe An Province is in sync with the behavior of prison officials of No. 6 Prison, indicating a presence of anomalies. Why are they afraid to come face to face with the family? Is the regime trying to hide something relevant to the life of Dieu Cay?
